Which vaccines are mandatory in Slovakia?
The only vaccine required by law for dogs in Slovakia is the rabies vaccine, from 3 months of age. Other vaccines (the distemper combination, leptospirosis) are recommended but not mandatory.
How often is an adult dog revaccinated?
Rabies is boosted once a year (a legal requirement). The combination vaccine (distemper, parvovirus, hepatitis) every 1–3 years depending on the protocol. Leptospirosis once a year.
Do I need to vaccinate an indoor cat?
Yes, we recommend it. Viruses can be carried in on shoes or clothing. The core vaccine against panleukopenia, calicivirus and herpesvirus matters for indoor cats too.
