About this specialization
Slovakia's only digital lameness diagnostics. Our orthopaedic diagnostics include comprehensive imaging — MRI, CT, fluoroscopy, orthopaedic ultrasound and digital X-ray. Our priority is the earliest and most effective diagnosis of orthopaedic problems, so that the cause of the trouble can be pinpointed and the right next step chosen.
We offer the full spectrum of orthopaedic procedures – from elbow arthroscopy and intervertebral disc surgery to total hip replacement. Fractures are treated to AO-ASIF standards. We emphasise minimally invasive orthopaedic surgery and comprehensive care for the patient after the procedure itself.
An important part of our approach is therefore the link to our physiotherapy centre, which lets orthopaedic care flow straight into follow-up physiotherapy. Our aim is for diagnostics, surgery and aftercare to form one connected whole, so that the patient receives high-quality, effective orthopaedic care.

Frequently asked questions
What is a gait lab and why does it matter?
A gait lab (lameness laboratory) is a digital system that objectively measures the load on each limb while walking. It can reveal even subtle deviations that the naked eye would miss. BENNETT is the only clinic in Slovakia that has one.
My dog is limping — should I give painkillers?
No — do not give analgesics without a vet's approval. They dull the pain but mask the signs we need for a correct diagnosis. Restrict movement and come in for an examination as soon as possible.
How long does recovery after orthopaedic surgery take?
It depends on the procedure. After simpler operations 4–6 weeks; after a joint replacement or a complex fracture 8–12 weeks. Rehabilitation in our hydrotherapy centre shortens recovery considerably.
Do you work to the same standards as human medicine?
Yes — we work to AO-ASIF standards, the gold standard for fracture treatment in human orthopaedics too. We collaborate with human specialists on developing new procedures.
