Patient registration and contact form

When you fill in a form we process what you type, so we can get back to you and prepare your visit.

  • Owner: name, phone, email, optionally address.
  • Pet: name, species, optionally date of birth, microchip number and passport number.
  • The reason for the visit that you write. Please do not include health information about yourself; write whatever you need about your pet.

Legal basis and retention (forms)

We process form data to act on your request to register and for the client relationship that follows (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We keep it while we handle your request and for as long as you are our client; animal health records are kept for the period veterinary regulations require. If no registration follows, we delete the data within 12 months.

Marketing emails and newsletter

If you tick the consent box when registering, or enter your email to receive articles, we send news, vaccination reminders and offers. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). For the newsletter we store your email, language, the time and place of sign-up, and a unique unsubscribe key.

You can withdraw consent at any time with the link at the bottom of every email or by writing to the address above. We keep the data until you withdraw; after that we keep only a record of the unsubscribe so we do not write to you again.

Client account

If you have an account in the client area, we process your login details and the data about your pets, appointments, records and invoices so we can show them to you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Signing in uses strictly necessary cookies; see the Cookies page.

Running the website

  • Our host logs technical data about each request (IP address, time, page address, browser). This is our legitimate interest in the security and stability of the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); logs are kept briefly.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile protects the forms from bots. It checks that you are a person and does not use advertising tracking. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in protecting the forms from abuse.
  • We measure traffic with Plausible Analytics. It uses no cookies, stores nothing on your device, builds no profile of you and does not follow you across sites. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in knowing which pages are useful.

Advertising campaign and Meta Pixel (with consent only)

On the registration page for our Facebook and Instagram campaign we may use the Meta Pixel. It loads only after you consent. Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. then receives data about your visit (for example IP address, browser, the identifiers in the _fbp and _fbc cookies, and the fact that you submitted a registration), and we and Meta are joint controllers for that. We send Meta the same event from our server (without your name, phone or email), also only with consent.

You can withdraw consent at any time on the Cookies page; withdrawal does not affect processing before it.

Who receives your data

Our processors handle data under contract and only on our instructions:

  • Supabase (database and file storage; EU region, Ireland)
  • Netlify (website hosting)
  • Resend (sending email)
  • Cloudflare (Turnstile form protection)
  • Plausible Insights OÜ (anonymous traffic statistics; Estonia)
  • Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. (only with consent, see above)

Transfers outside the EU

Some processors (hosting, email, Cloudflare, Meta) may process data in the USA. The transfer relies on the European Commission's adequacy decision (EU-US Data Privacy Framework) or on standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You can ask us for access to your data, correction, erasure, restriction of processing and portability. You can object to processing based on legitimate interest and withdraw consent at any time. Write to the address above; we reply within one month.

Complaints

If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic, Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava 27, dataprotection.gov.sk.
